Habitation Velier PROVIDENCE Haiti Pure Single Rum 2020 55% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

Opis

Habitation Velier Providence is a Haitian pure single rum distilled in 2020 at the Distillerie de Port-au-Prince. The distillery was founded through a partnership between the Barbancourt-Linge family and La Maison & Velier, and it pairs traditional Haitian rum-making with an open, artisanal approach.
The rum starts from a syrup made from Haitian sugar cane, which is processed and fermented on site. It is then distilled in batches in a Müller-built still heated by water bath, a setup that allows very controlled distillation. Because every step happens in one distillery, the rum qualifies as a pure single rum and showcases a distinct style within Haiti's varied rum tradition.
After distillation, the rum matured for four years in Haiti's tropical climate before being bottled in 2024. It aged in ex-Caroni rum casks, which once held spirit from the now-closed Caroni Distillery in Trinidad, adding a touch of history to this edition. Bottled at a robust 55% ABV, it keeps an intense structure.
The Providence 2020/2024 4 Years Old comes as a 0.7-litre bottle presented in a giftbox, and reflects the Habitation Velier focus on distillery, distillation method and origin.
