Winterful Gin is a seasonal edition from Martin Miller's, built on the brand's modern dry gin and rooted in English distilling tradition. The base gin is distilled in England, then shipped to Iceland, where it is blended with pure Arctic water.
The winter character comes from cinnamon and tangerine peel, added during a third distillation. The botanicals draw on the ingredients typically found in homemade mulled wine in both England and Iceland, making this a nod to the winter customs of the two countries.
Bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7l bottle, it is a warming gin made for cold evenings by the fireplace. Serve it hot or cold, depending on your mood.
Tasting Note
Clear in the glass. The nose is warm, complex and intense, with tangerine and hints of cinnamon. The palate is spicy-sweet, led by sweet cinnamon with notes of cardamom. The finish is long, carrying tangerine, citrus and spice.
