Signatory Vintage NORTH BRITISH 18 Years Old 1st Fill Sherry & Refill Bourbon Cask 2008 46% Vol. 0,7l

Opis

Part of Signatory Vintage's respected Un-Chillfiltered Collection, this single grain Scotch whisky was distilled in 2008 at the historic North British Distillery and left to mature for a full 18 years before bottling. The result is a spirit that showcases just how much depth and character a long-aged grain whisky can achieve.
Maturation took place across two cask types: first-fill sherry hogsheads and refill bourbon casks. The sherry wood brings richness in the form of dried fruit, nuts and chocolate-like depth, while the ex-bourbon casks contribute softer notes of vanilla, caramel and oak. Together, the two cask influences create a whisky with a fine balance of sweetness, spice and gentle woodiness.
Staying true to the philosophy of the Un-Chillfiltered Collection, this whisky is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring, allowing its natural texture and full flavour to come through untouched. The extended 18-year maturation has given the spirit a notably smooth, rounded mouthfeel, making this bottling a compelling example of what patience and quality cask selection can bring to single grain whisky.
Bottled at 46% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, this release is a fine choice for collectors and single grain enthusiasts looking to explore beyond the more familiar single malt category.
