Opis

The port wine house Delaforce was founded in 1868 by George Henry Delaforce. Soon the name Delaforce was known worldwide.
Since 01 January 2008 the famous port wine house Real Companhia Velha has been part of Delaforce.
The company celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2006 and is therefore not only the oldest port wine house, but also the oldest company in Portugal!
The grapes for the production come from the upper Douro valley. The valley is located in the northeast of Portugal and is known for its narrow terraces.

Before the Fine Ruby Port is bottled, it is aged for 3 years in large oak barrels.

Tasting notes:
Strong ruby red in the glass. Very fruity, rich and smooth on the nose and palate. Aromas of berries like blackcurrants and cherries. Long lasting in the finish.

The port wine harmonizes very well with various types of cheese.
