Long ago, rye was used to make whisky in the USA because barley was not adapted to the climate there.
Australia also has a dry climate where the same conditions prevail.
Therefore, the Australians decided to make the whisky with 100% Australian rye.
The Gospel Straight Rye Whiskey is distilled twice.
The maturation takes place for at least 3 years in burnt out barrels of American white oak and then in Australian wine barrels.
Colour: saffron.
Nose: Spicy, intense, notes of cereals, oak, vanilla.
Taste: Rich, complex, spicy, notes of red fruits, caramel, cloves, raisins.
Finish: Long lasting, soft, notes of vanilla, caramel, oak.
