Bruichladdich 19 Years Old Black Art Propheta is a strictly limited Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It is Chapter 2 of the mysterious Black Art series, and Propheta is the 2026 edition. The whisky was distilled, matured and bottled entirely at the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay.
Most Bruichladdich releases put transparency about barley, provenance and cask maturation front and centre. Black Art Propheta does the opposite: its cask composition is deliberately kept secret, and the specific cask types are not disclosed. This secrecy is part of the Black Art concept, which leaves the whisky to speak for itself. Head Distiller Adam Hannett creates each Black Art release by blending selected matured stocks into a unique composition.
Propheta is an unpeated Islay single malt, matured for 19 years and bottled at 48.4% ABV. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
The 0.7-litre bottle comes in an elaborately designed tin box. With its long maturation, confidential cask selection and limited availability, it will appeal to collectors of the Black Art series and to fans of long-matured, unpeated Islay whiskies.
