Mintis Blackcurrant Gin, also known as Mintis Ribesa Gin, is a fruit-forward Italian premium gin from Piedmont. It pairs the intense aroma of blackcurrants with traditional gin botanicals. It is bottled at 41.8% ABV in a 0.7 l bottle.
The gin is made by Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, a family-run business led by Carlo Vergnano and his family, under the direction of distiller Denis Muni. The recipe combines a 100% natural blackcurrant infusion with hand-selected Italian juniper, regional Piedmont herbs and a delicate touch of mint. It contains no added sugar or colourings, and it is vegan, gluten-free and free from genetically modified ingredients.
The Mintis style is defined by gentle vacuum distillation, in which the botanicals are distilled for eight hours at just 60 °C to preserve their natural aromas as fully as possible. Together with the natural fruit infusion, this gives the gin its distinctive character.
