A.H. Riise / Old St. Croix Tribute Reserve Superior 43,8% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

Opis

This limited edition honours Albert Heinrich Riise (1810–1882), the Danish pharmacist, explorer and entrepreneur whose career was closely tied to the former Danish West Indies. Drawing on his spirit of discovery and his use of regional raw materials, it carries the historic Old St. Croix name forward.
The X.O. Reserve Tribute is built from carefully matured, molasses-based distillates chosen from well-regarded distilleries in the West Indies and Central America. Older cask stocks are blended with younger components to create a balance of richness, structure and elegance, while slow fermentation and traditional distillation add to its layered character.
Bottled at 43.8% ABV, it is noticeably more structured than many of the brand's smoother releases. Its pale golden colour reflects the refined style of the blend.
The edition is limited to 24,407 bottles, which gives it collector appeal within the Old St. Croix range. It comes in a 0.7-litre bottle presented in a giftbox.
Tasting Note
Pale golden in colour. The aromas combine chocolate, bergamot, peppermint and subtle tobacco notes in an unusual interplay, with a more structured profile than the brand's smoother expressions.
