This single cask Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from the Auchentoshan Distillery has been bottled by independent bottler Signatory Vintage. It was distilled on 16 April 2013 and bottled on 8 September 2025 after 12 years of maturation, and it is presented as a rare single cask release from the Scottish Lowlands.
Auchentoshan is one of the last Lowland distilleries to still triple-distil, a method that gives the spirit a smooth, elegant and clear character once typical of the region. Andrew Symington gave this malt a finish in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, adding a further layer to the whisky. The Andalusian sherry cask contributes fruity and spicy aromas, depth and a creamy mouthfeel to the refined Lowland profile.
This whisky comes from cask no. 4 (part), which yielded just 394 bottles. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.9% ABV, unchill-filtered and uncoloured, so the character of the cask and the distillery comes through unaltered. Independent single cask bottlings of Auchentoshan at this level are scarce, which makes it appealing to collectors. It comes in a 0.7l bottle in a giftbox.
