Penderyn The Village is the fourteenth release in the Icons of Wales Collection, a series that honours notable people, places and milestones from Welsh history. This edition is dedicated to Portmeirion in North Wales, the Italian-inspired coastal village that Sir Clough Williams-Ellis built over several decades. It marks the village's 100th anniversary in 2026 and pairs Welsh whisky-making with a distinctive cultural landmark.
The whisky is finished in Amarone casks, which lend it intense fruit, spicy oak and a wine-like depth. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without added colouring, and shows how strongly an Amarone finish can shape the character of a Welsh whisky.
