Jinro Chamisul Original 16% is a classic Korean soju from the long-established Jinro brand and is one of the best-known examples of this category of Korean spirits. Chamisul is characterised by a clear, mild and uncomplicated style that is closely linked to modern South Korean food and drink culture. A distinctive feature of the Chamisul range is the special filtration process using bamboo activated charcoal, which reduces unwanted off-notes and is intended to create a particularly clean, smooth profile. Unlike flavoured soju varieties, Jinro Chamisul Original focuses on a classic, more neutral character without any added fruit flavouring.

With an alcohol content of 16 %, Jinro Chamisul Original Soju is significantly lighter than classic vodkas or other high-proof grain spirits, making it particularly well-suited to the well-chilled serving style common in Korea. The soju is bottled in the distinctive green 0.35-litre bottle, which is closely associated with the Jinro brand. The brand belongs to the South Korean spirits producer HiteJinro, whose history dates back to 1924. Jinro’s Korean soju thus combines a brand steeped in tradition with modern filtration and a moderate alcohol content.
