Lochlea SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE Single Estate Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

Opis

The Lochlea Smoke Without Fire Single Estate Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an innovative bottling from the independent Lochlea Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. As a single estate whisky, it is made exclusively from the distillery's own barley, grown in the distillery's fields. This represents transparency, authenticity, and an uncompromising philosophy of quality. Bottled at 46% ABV, it offers a harmonious balance between intensity and drinking pleasure.

Maturation took place in a combination of ex-peated casks and red wine casks, which gives this whisky an exciting aromatic character. The ex-peated casks impart a subtle smoky note, while the red wine casks add fruity depth, red berries, and gentle tannins. It is bottled without chill filtration and without coloring, thus fully preserving its natural purity and unadulterated aroma. The name “Smoke Without Fire” clarifies the philosophy of this bottling: a noticeable, yet finely integrated smokiness that is not dominant, but harmoniously integrated.

Lochlea Smoke Without Fire reveals its strengths neat at room temperature, but also lends itself to creative pairings. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses like Cheddar, grilled meats like beef steak or lamb chops, and dark chocolate. Due to its special cask character, it also makes a great base for smoky and fruity whisky cocktails, such as a Smoky Manhattan or a Boulevardier, where the combination of red wine notes and subtle smokiness is perfectly showcased. As part of a whisky tasting, it expresses the experimental side of the Lochlea Distillery.
